Biography

Badr Al-Olama is an entrepreneurial executive with a deep passion for transformational impact-driven investments. During his tenure with Mubadala Investment Company (Mubadala), Badr was responsible for the UAE Clusters portfolio which included a diverse set of businesses that span across aerospace, technology, and healthcare; forging strategic partnerships with global organizations and establishing a startup ecosystem to further contribute towards economic growth and diversification. Badr is the Chairman at Emirates Post Group and currently serves on the board of Al Yah Satellite Communications Company (Yahsat), SHUAA Capital, Yas Holding, and various automotive joint ventures. Badr has been leading the organizing committee for the Global Manufacturing and Industrialisation Summit (GMIS) since its inception, prior to which he was the former Chief Executive Officer of Strata Manufacturing, the former President of the UAE Harvard Club, and previously served as a member of the UAE Ministerial Council on the Fourth Industrial Revolution. Badr was nominated as a 'Young Global Leader for the Middle East and North Africa Region' by the World Economic Forum in 2016. He began his career as a lawyer and holds an LL.M from Harvard Law School.

Majid is the Vice Chairman of the Board of Emirates Post Group Company. He has over 20 years of experience across entrepreneurial activities and investment banking. Throughout his entrepreneurial career, he advised, managed and invested in various sectors, including launching several successful startups. Majid's banking career was with two top tier global banks where he was involved in various projects including fund raising, M&A and public listings.

Biography

Gaston is an investment executive with a 26-year career spanning various sectors and geographies. Since joining Mubadala in 2008, Gaston’s has undertaken several responsibilities consistently delivering results in investing, managing and divesting assets across industries, including financial services, energy transition-renewables, logistics & transportation, and aerospace. Prior to joining Mubadala, he worked in private equity in emerging markets, gaining in-depth knowledge in several sectors. Gaston began his career working at one of the Big 4 professional service firms. He has a breadth of cross-continent management and governance experience acquired through current and previous positions at the boards and committees of Yahsat [ADX:Yahsat], Eships, Abu Dhabi Terminals, Agility Abu Dhabi and China, Dunia Finance, MPREI, Virgin Galactic, Porto Sudeste, SR Technics AG, Sanad Aero Solutions, Aerospace Turbine Services and Solutions. He also served as a member of the investment committee of Masdar and MPREI. Gaston earned his full time M.B.A from Columbia Business School in New York and his B.S. in accounting from UADE.

His professional journey includes key positions at UAE Exchange as the Head of Growth Markets for the MEA region and Tiqmo Payments Holding as the Head of Business Development, where he led the exploration of new business opportunities, market trends, partnerships, and services. At Wall Street Exchange, Malaz is dedicated to elevating revenue generation, streamlining costs, and enhancing operational efficiency. With his visionary leadership, Malaz is instrumental in guiding Wall Street Exchange towards sustained success and excellence in the remittance industry.

Biography

Murtaza is the Chief Risk & Legal Officer of the FINTX Group and has oversight of the Compliance Function at the Group level - which includes Financial Regulatory Compliance and evaluation and implementation of all Policies and Procedures. Murtaza also serves as the Corporate Secretary to the Board of Directors of the FINTX Group and all its subsidiaries. Murtaza brings 12 years of extensive experience across a wide range of practice areas and industries – both in Private Practice Law and In-House – having worked at Allen & Overy LLP (London and Dubai), the e& Group, and the Astra Tech Group.
